A bit about me
-
I live in the Atlanta metro area.
-
I have a doctorate in applied mathematics and currently work as a data scientist.
-
I spend most of my time bothering Charisse (my wife) and Crawford (my dog).
What I like
-
Learning. Here are some things I am learning.
- How to cook, grill, and smoke food.
- How to dance salsa. Dancing salsa with Charisse has been an activity that we both started from zero at, and it has been a journey that we have both adored.
- How to speak Spanish.
-
Playing sports. I enjoy playing soccer, spikeball, volleyball, and anything else that get’s me moving and doesn’t rely too much on balance and upper body strength.
-
All types of games that can be played with other people. These tend to be, but are not limited to, board games. I prefer games that require analysis and that do not have a very fast time component (“twitchy” games, if you will, such as first-person shooters). A selection of favorites are
- Magic: The Gathering (collectible card game)
- Wingspan (board game)
- Spirit Island (board game)
- Camel Up (board game)
- Portal 2 (video game)
- Ibb and Obb (video game)
