A bit about me

  • I live in the Atlanta metro area.

  • I have a doctorate in applied mathematics and currently work as a data scientist.

  • I spend most of my time bothering Charisse (my wife) and Crawford (my dog).

What I like

  • Learning. Here are some things I am learning.

    • How to cook, grill, and smoke food.
    • How to dance salsa. Dancing salsa with Charisse has been an activity that we both started from zero at, and it has been a journey that we have both adored.
    • How to speak Spanish.
  • Playing sports. I enjoy playing soccer, spikeball, volleyball, and anything else that get’s me moving and doesn’t rely too much on balance and upper body strength.

  • All types of games that can be played with other people. These tend to be, but are not limited to, board games. I prefer games that require analysis and that do not have a very fast time component (“twitchy” games, if you will, such as first-person shooters). A selection of favorites are

    • Magic: The Gathering (collectible card game)
    • Wingspan (board game)
    • Spirit Island (board game)
    • Camel Up (board game)
    • Portal 2 (video game)
    • Ibb and Obb (video game)
